Our staff members love coming to work at Care in Mind, and our homes are constantly a hive of activity and vitality where the young people can feel comfortable. Working with our youth to encourage independence through assistance with schooling, housework, and basic life skills will be your responsibility. Additionally, you will administer medications and update online care records. Additionally, you will be in charge of maintaining the house’s general cleanliness and orderly living conditions for the youth.

You will be working with young people who have been diagnosed with eating disorders as well as a range of mental health conditions at our new home in Leeds. Self-harm and compensatory behaviours are common ways for our youth to deal with their emotions. It will be your responsibility to assist the youth with their eating difficulties, including meal assistance, documentation of food and liquids, and post-meal assistance. Additionally, you will assist in managing instances of self-harm and other risky behaviours. Complete training is given for the purpose of closely monitoring and documenting the physical health issues that some of our young people have. Many of our youth are also getting ready to leave the house and enter the community on their own.

As a result, you will be assisting them in this transition by helping them learn about various educational pathways, independently access public transportation and appointments, and assist them in taking their own medications. There will never be a dull time while working with our young people because they are all different and have a range of interests. They do things like visit theme parks, paint ceramics, and watch plays.

Complete training will be given, and prior care experience is not required. Our welcoming residential and clinical staff will provide you with continuous assistance and guidance.
