You’ll be employed by Stanley House, a long-term care facility that offers specialised care and skilled therapy interventions through a multidisciplinary approach.
You will assist and facilitate residents’ reviews of their unique and/or evolving needs while working as a member of the interdisciplinary team. In addition to receiving feedback from a neuropsychiatry professor and monthly speciality general practitioner clinics, Stanley House provides therapies and activities such as art therapy and physiotherapy.
The demands of the residents of Stanley House range from complete independence to the ability to handle some of their own needs. This covers personal care tasks like dressing, grooming, washing, and assisting with incontinence. Another important aspect of the daily schedule is assisting residents with their meals.
Stanley House offers end-of-life care so that residents can remain in their familiar and comfortable settings while receiving assistance for their family.
There is also plenty of fun to be had by helping seniors participate in regular community events, such as wheelchair and walking assistance, bouncy castle afternoons, family fun days, and outings to the neighbourhood café, stores, and bowling alleys.
