Foreigners and OCI cardholders can now complete the e-Arrival Card online. According to an Indian government press release, foreign nationals and OCI cardholders can now fill out and submit the e-Arrival Card online up to 72 hours prior to their arrival in India.
The official Indian Visa Su-Swagatam mobile app, boi.gov.in, and indianvisaonline.gov.in are the ways to submit the digital form. This notification has also been updated on the official OCI website of the Indian government.
This form must be completed by all foreign visitors to India. The conventional paper disembarkation card used at immigration counters is intended to be replaced by the new Electronic Arrival Card. Both paper and electronic forms will be accepted during the first six months of the transition, but in order to expedite processing and ease airport traffic, travellers are advised to complete the online form before departing.
The purpose of the e-Arrival Card is to expedite the gathering of arrival and request data:
Flight information and passport
India’s local phone number
Recent travel experiences during the previous 30 days
Travellers will receive a confirmation to show at the door after submitting their application online via an official government travel or immigration portal. To finish the e-Arrival Card, click
