Overview of the Role:
Supporting our patients and helping our healthcare team deliver high-quality treatment are vital tasks for a health care assistant. You will support patients’ personal hygiene needs, assist with everyday living activities, and make sure the patients are in a secure and comfortable environment.
Principal Duties:
- Helping patients with personal hygiene, such as clothing, grooming, and bathing
- Facilitating physical activity and mobility
- Taking vital signs such the pulse, temperature, and blood pressure
- Providing patients with food and water support
- Providing patients and their families with emotional support and company
- Keeping up-to-date patient records
- Working together with medical professionals to provide outstanding care
Requirements:
- An empathetic and sympathetic disposition
- Although training will be given, prior experience in a care setting is preferred but not necessary.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities
- The capacity to operate both independently and collaboratively
- A strong dedication to providing high-quality care
