We help adults with spinal cord injuries live in their own homes under the Care in the Home division.

We would like you to work with us as a support worker at our West Molesey customers’ homes.

When are you going to be working?

  • Monday through Friday
  • Two hours a day—any two hours that work for you—we are accommodating.
  • Although we would like year-round coverage, we are willing to take term-only coverage.

Regarding the position:

This position is to provide two hours of in-home help to our female client who has a spinal cord injury so that the live-in support worker can take a break. This will entail helping with household chores, moving and handling, medication, and personal care.

Since there will be comprehensive training, shadow shifts, and continuing support, no prior experience is necessary.

Our client’s description of the role:

I have an extremely busy lifestyle and use a wheelchair full-time. I own a beautiful assistance dog. I educate freshly injured hospital patients and teach them wheelchair skills as a volunteer for a charity. I enjoy going to concerts and the theatre, shopping, and hanging out with friends. The role is to support me while my live-in carer takes a break, in addition to meeting my care needs. We would also welcome some assistance with housework.
